Trauma‑Informed Curriculum Statement

Our curriculum is designed specifically for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We provide a broad, balanced and ambitious curriculum delivered through trauma‑informed teaching, predictable routines and relational safety. Learning is adapted to pupils’ emotional readiness, strengths and needs, ensuring they can engage, succeed and make meaningful progress.

Outdoor Learning Statement

Outdoor learning is a core part of our curriculum. Through Forest School, adventure sports, environmental learning and animal‑assisted experiences, pupils develop regulation, resilience, teamwork and confidence. Outdoor learning provides sensory‑rich, relational and hands‑on opportunities that support wellbeing and strengthen engagement.

Therapeutic Curriculum & Daily Practice

Our therapeutic offer is woven throughout daily routines. Pupils access emotional literacy work, mentoring, coregulation sessions, restorative conversations, sensory regulation activities and specialist input where needed. Emotionally available adults support pupils during transitions, high‑risk moments and times of dysregulation.
