Message from the Headteacher | Hillside Education

At Hillside Education, we believe every child deserves a provision where they feel safe, understood, and able to thrive.

As Headteacher, it is my privilege to lead a school built with purpose from the ground up — a place designed specifically for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, where relationships, consistency and high expectations sit at the heart of everything we do.

Hillside Education represents a new chapter for our community. A trauma-informed, relational environment where pupils are met with curiosity rather than judgement and where adults work tirelessly to remove barriers to learning.

Our team is committed to creating a school where pupils feel stronger together. We model emotional regulation and we teach explicitly the skills needed for lifelong wellbeing – and ultimately our aim is to create a culture where pupils are seen, heard and valued.

Whether you are a parent, carer, professional or prospective pupil, I hope this website gives you a clear sense of who we are: a school that believes in potential, invests in relationships, and never gives up on a child.
